The Georgia Promise Scholarship is a type of education choice program for parents and families. Promise Scholarships are state-administered, state-funded accounts that gives families beginning in the Fall 2025 $6,500 per year and per student to use for approved education expenses, such as for tuition at either our Marietta Campus or The Academy Virtual. Another common name for this type of program is “education savings accounts.”
The total amount of your scholarship ($6,500) is deducted from the school's overall annual tuition amount. The remaining balance is then spread evenly across our 12 month school calendar to generate your monthly tuition payment amounts. You will be provided with a Schedule of Tuition Payments during your admissions process which will outline these payments.
First priority will be given to students from families below 400% of the federal poverty level—around $120,000 a year for a family of four. Students above that threshold will be allowed to participate if funds are left over after lower-income students are served.
