Francis Conti – Amazing Founding Teacher
As a young child, Francis Conti III watched family members impact the lives of many children. Their common denominator was that they were all educators. His grandmother Gladys Bennett, his mother
Angela Bennett Conti and his Aunts Linda Bennett Marshall and Carolyn Bennett Jenkins, were all teachers. With teaching in his DNA, it was inevitbale he’d realize his gift of motivating
children to learn. S. Atlanta Team
In 2008, Mr. Conti accepted a last-minute request from the principal of Locke HIgh School (located in South Central Los Angeles California) to begin the school year as a long-term substitute teacher for the only Special Needs classroom on campus. After accepting the assignment, he found his passion for teaching and motivating students who often are ignored. This experience was the catalyst that influenced his decision to earn a Masters in Special Education with a focus on children with Mild to Moderate disabilities. S. Atlanta Team
After graduating from grad school in 2014, Mr. Conti sought employment at Audubon MiddleSchool, a Los Angeles Unified School District campus. Here he would spend four years of his teaching career demystifying Math and Science and making it something his students looked forward to learning. As his school career progressed, Mr. Conti stepped into unfamiliar territory once again and accepted the assignment to teach students identified with Emotional Disturbance (ED). This experience posed the challenge of capturing the interest of students who had minimal interest in learning the customary way. Mr. Conti learned the value of using Real-Life Application to teach content and inspire students to discover their Entrepreneurial brain. This style of teaching ignites student desire to learn as well the promotion of subconscious
learning. S. Atlanta Team
Mr. Conti is the calming ingredient in a potentially explosive situation. This attribute is advantageous to any potential volatile circumstances. The students love being in his class and still connect with him across the miles and years.
